Julie Chavanu, RYT 500 is the founder of Find Your Voice Yoga Teacher Training and is dedicated to helping people not just learn to teach yoga, but to find and share their unique voice in teaching. She is a yoga teacher, marketing consultant, and previously owned a yoga studio. Julie discovered yoga while working as a manager in the telecommunications industry and began using it as a tool to manage stress, but soon realized she wanted to share yoga with others, too. Practicing since 1998 and teaching since 1999, she completed a 200 hour program in 2007 and followed with a 500 hour program in 2008. Finding the connection of breath and movement key to deepening her own practice, she teaches vinyasa flow and moving meditation classes.

Phindile Dhlamini-Motshegwa, RYT 200, is an avid yoga practitioner with over a decade of practice and experience. Her area of interest primarily revolves around the yoga eco-system and the diverse communities that make up the industry. She is exploring her curiosity for understanding the application of enterprise governance principles and international best practice—in different types of organizations, across different sectors. She is a supporter of moving towards professionalizing the yoga industry—as a part of the larger health sector—in order to preserve the integrity of teaching the practice. Phindile is currently focusing on producing and contributing to programs and projects that offer yoga in underrepresented spaces, with people who wouldn’t ordinary have access.

Yoga appeals to Phindile because of its unique ability to be both exclusive and inclusive at the same time: exclusive, as it is meant to be a time to selfishly connect; and inclusive, in that it is for all ages, genders, sizes, and ethnicities. She firmly believes that yoga can, and should, be accessed by anyone, anywhere. Phindile feels compelled to share herself through this work, where she is dedicated to teaching and instilling a sense of pride and dignity to those who may be uninspired or feeling depleted.

Phindile practices Hatha, Vinyasa, Bikram, and Kemetic yoga, which influence her eclectic teaching style. She always maintains a pursuit of knowledge and information in the ancient tradition of mindfulness, in a quest towards continuous self-improvement. She is dedicated to living a life full of love, passion, and purpose—attributes she hopes will resonate with all who meet her on her path. Phindile feels blessed and privileged to be able to offer this work as her gift to the world.

Jacci Gruninger, E-RYT 500, RPYT, YACEP, C-IAYT, MHS is a Santa Fe based yoga teacher, yoga therapist, and educator. Jacci feels she has been on a journey of awareness and awakening her whole life, and states that she was practicing “yoga” before she ever practiced yoga. This way of being alive and present for every experience is what calls to her most deeply and infuses her teaching. She uses the practice of yoga to see how her habits restrict, distract and cause suffering. Using observation and witnessing, a skill  she learned from her teachers Yoganand Michael Carroll and Sudhir Jonathon Foust, she is better able to see her habits and open her life to finding more freedom and joy. As a teacher, Jacci invites her students to go inside themselves and feel rather than focusing on what the pose looks like. She uses the techniques of inquisition and witnessing to encourage and enable students to be present in their lives. Jacci holds a Master’s degree in Health Science from George Washington University and has completed over 1500 hours of training in a wide variety of yoga disciplines. She completed her 200 and 500 hour yoga teacher trainings at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and then completed a second 500 hour certification in yoga therapy. She is a certified yoga therapist (C-IAYT), registered prenatal yoga teacher (RPYT), as well as a Thai Yoga Massage Therapist. Jacci is the Executive Director of the Pranakriya School of Yoga Healing Arts as well as Director of their 200-hour, Basic Prenatal, Restorative Yoga, and Gentle Yoga Teacher Trainings. She lives in Santa Fe with her son, Justin, and their dog Ash.
