THE CONVERSATION: Should all Yoga Alliance registered teachers share some basic standard content?

Historically, Yoga Alliance has only required that a number of hours are taught in certain content areas but never asked member schools or teachers to be accountable to any specific content. Do yoga teachers need a core curriculum? What basic knowledge should every Yoga Alliance registered teacher share? (A+P? Seva? Yoga history and Culture? Philosophy? Ethics? Etc…) If so, how to balance the tension this would create between standard content and a school’s unique style and philosophy?
